As a result of a recent poll, I am going to switch our format to open reccing. To that end, I am going to turn on posting access to ALL MEMBERS. *does so with trepidation*

Before you get all excited, there is something to note: you get ONE REC POST A WEEK. Yep, one post from one Sunday to the next. You have options:
- one rec per post
- Tuesdays? Still twofers. Oh yeah.

Please check the tags before you rec so you don't duplicate a rec. The author tags are your best friends ever, really.

Let the games begin.

Ideas which I have bandied about and have concluded will make good changes:

1. When recs resume on June 1 May 31, the rec week will be FIVE days long, so... one a day Sunday-Thursday. Twofer Tuesdays will still be in effect if you're up for that.

2. Reccing will be EVERY OTHER WEEK. This is... actually slightly more work for me and it will be an amusing challenge to see how often I drop the ball, but I think it is more sustaianable than the old system.

I shall put up a new sign-up post next week, woo hoo! Keep in mind that if having time to rec is an issue, I can and will work with you to shuffle dates as need be. The schedule is NEVER set in stone, it is in a Google Doc and is therefore malleable.

Let me take a moment here, as I just checked the profile and realized we've got exactly 100 people watching the community! HI LURKERS, WE LOVE YOU!

I just want to thank you all, the watchers, the readers, the people who leave feedback months after a story was posted. I can say as a writer that seeing that comment pop up is thrilling no matter when it happens, so if you read something you like PLEASE leave a note, it's always appreciated!

I also want to thank the reccers, because without you none of this would be possible. On that note, after naturalbluicons and surranndie rec, we're be back to the top of the roster. That's... kinda scary. I know fic has been a little thin on the ground of late, so please let me know if you can't go again, or if you're just tired of me :D

On the other hand if you've not recced before and would like to give it a shot, let me know! Comment here or drop me a private message and I'll work you onto the list. Remember, it's a minimum of four stories, you don't need one for every day, and I will work with you.

We have 76 members, 89 watchers, and only 17 people have recced. Please please do not be shy, I've said from the beginning that this community is about crack ego stroking diversity, the more the merrier, and again the minimum for reccing is four stories in a week. That's all you're committed to when you sign up.

Hello all! I hope you're enjoying your last weekend of northern hemisphere summer. I've just got a few quick notes and some housecleaning:

1. All together now: Reccer sign-ups are always open to all community members, no matter how long you've been in fandom or who you ship (or don't ship because wow we love us some gen). Lurkers, we want to hear from you too! The next open weeks are in October, which brings me to...

2. Those of you who have already recced: if it is all right with you I can start putting you guys back into a rotation, starting at the top of the list and working my way down. New reccers will still get a priority, but I'd love to fill in gaps with you guys. Let me know!

3. Switching tagging authority over to reccers has so far worked out great, in that I have less work to do *g* You guys picked up on my cryptic system very well, so thank you for that! I am going to be going through and doing a bit of tag clean-up this weekend to try and streamline things (alphabetizing ships, tweaking the genres, etc.).

4. Can I thank you guys again for being awesome? We have over 75 different authors recced so far, which for a small fandom is amazing and wonderful. We really are one big happy fic-enjoying family, and I'd like to think this community reinforces that. It's nothing without you guys, though, and I adore all of you for it.

Hello all! A few quick notes:

1. As some of you may know n_e_star's computer is having issues. But, being a merciful and benevolent mod, I've made arrangements so that she may post the remainder of her recs when she gets the chance.

2. Tomorrow I will be putting up a Request-a-Rec post. Dying for a good Jeb fic? Longing for some hurt/comfort? Are you, like me, deserpate to find the epic romance of Ambrose and Az wherein Cain and DG are the background couple? Put in a request! Know of a story to fulfil a request? Rec it! Just the title and author and maybe some squee, this is all informal. If it goes well I may do one of these posts monthly.

3. Seeing as both n_e_star and I were unable to completely abide by the "one rec per day" clause, I hereby enact Twofer Tuesdays! If a reccer wishes, on the Tuesday of their week they may rec two stories. They don't have to be related, but if you want to throw out something with a sequel that'd probably be the day to do it.

4. Sign-ups are always open! I've got the calender filled up to Labor Day weekend, but after that is wide open.

5. I just want to again offer you guys kudos, I've seen some stories getting feedback based on recs here. That's fantastic, and I do encourage you all to do that if you find a story you liked. Y'all are amazing ♥

...you're going to get sick of mod posts, I know I am. Anyway!

1. The first week of reccing shall be June 1-7 because it is a.) easy to remember and b.) Sunday to Saturday. Nice how that worked out.

2. Sign ups for reccing are ALWAYS open, we've got over 30 members and precious few volunteers. Be not shy! Do not make me make puppy eyes at you!

3. There is no 3.
